So I have to present the 6-week course to a few of the YMCA and Boys and Girls Clubs soon. The course is going to cover discovering your passion, characteristics of self-made people, creating opportunity, dealing with rejection, etc.
I have a good feeling about this. The next steps are brewing in my mind. I want to turn this into a campaign where we sell books to raise money for a laptop, a projector (to have cool slides for the presentation) and a camera to document the kids sharing what they're passionate about.
Why can't this become a program where we go from school to school and club to club to give the presentation and document the kids learning these skills and tools? Maybe we could get a used economy car and wrap it with Larry the Weatherman and cool "find your passion" sayings. Maybe. But definitely the projector and camera.
It could become a tour. Yes. Yes, that's what it has to be. I get excited. I get passionate. But the passion is the motivator to make it happen!
